TANNER STREET

The proposed structure at Tanner Street sits atop a converted Victorian boarding school. The existing pitched roof was an appropriate starting point for the massing of the proposed building. The cladding, though similar in tone contrasts the roughness of the brick, while vertical zinc seams ease the proportions of the elevation.

Internally, light is sculpted through the use of a skylight and irregular window openings, which both compliment the internal configuration. These attributes of light and material create a sense of intrigue and comfort; allowing the resident to take pleasure in their new home while retaining an element of excitement.
